After months of investigation, police have finally managed to apprehend a 43-year-old prisoner who escaped from Naboro Prison more than a year ago.
Police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed Vikatore Tabausi escaped from Naboro Prison in December 2008 and was serving a term for robbery with violence.
Sokomuri said in the past few months, police have received a number of complaints from the residents of Ba and surrounding areas on the series of robberies taking place in the area and Tabausi is now being questioned in relation to these robberies.
Sokomuri added that a woman who allegedly harbored Tabausi is also under investigation.
