Deputy Army Commander Captain Esala Teleni has today been promoted to the rank of Commodore in the Fiji Military Force.
Military spokesperson Major Neumi Leweni confirms that Teleni, who is also the new Police Commissioner, has been promoted after taking up the top job in the Police Force.
However, Major Leweni said the Army Commander Commodore Frank Bainimarama will decide whether Commodore Teleni will continue to hold the post of Deputy Army Commander.
Leweni also confirms that Lieutenant Colonel Samu Saumataua has been promoted to the rank of Colonel and is now the new Chief of Staff of the RFMF.
