All Blacks 7s great Eric Rush is excited to be the guest speaker at tonight’s Fiji Sports Awards.

Rush said it is a huge honor for him to be invited to talk to such talented sports people in Fiji.

Rush added sports awards is all about acknowledging athletes or players on what they have achieved through dedication and hard work.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Sports Council is expecting about 700 people for the event.

Fiji Sports Council chairman Peter Mazey said this year’s event will be different from the previous ones as the 78 nominees will all get a trophy.

Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama is the chief guest.
 
The Fiji Sports Awards is scheduled to start at 6pm this evening at the Vodafone Arena.
