“We are ready to go!”
That is the inspiration from All Blacks captain Richie McCaw with only three hours counting down to the much anticipated Rugby World Cup semifinal against the Wallabies.
McCaw added he has taken no interest in whatever has been happening in both camps during the week as tonight’s match is being billeted by some as the final of this year’s World Cup.
This is the third meeting between the two countries at Rugby World Cup level, with each occurring at the semifinal stage.
Australia beat New Zealand 16-6 at Dublin during the 1991 tournament, which the Wallabies went on to win, and 22-10 at the same stage of the 2003 event in Australia.
Meanwhile, Australia’s coach Robbie Deans said that the Wallabies camp is looking forward to the match tonight.
