Defending South Africa 7s champion, New Zealand know that they are up against the best team in the IRB 7s series this weekend.
Captain DJ Forbes said to be in the same pool with last weekend’s champions England will be tough for any team.
Forbes said the new players in the team have learnt from last weekend’s loss to England and they will have to improve on their performance this week to retain their title in South Africa.
New Zealand is in Pool C with England, Russia and Kenya.
Meanwhile the Digicel Fiji 7s team is in Pool B with Samoa, USA and Namibia.
Fiji will open their South Africa 7s campaign against Namibia on Friday night at 11.43pm.
