England’s 12-man squad for the first round of the IRB Sevens Series has been announced which includes last season’s top two try scorers Matt Turner and Dan Norton.

Ben Ryan’s team also has captain Rob Vickerman, John Brake, Chris Brightwell and James Rodwell.

Ryan said his players are fitter than they have ever been and probably the quickest side around.

England is in Pool C with Samoa, Kenya and Spain.

The Gold Coast Sevens kicks off next Saturday with Fiji playing Scotland at 2.42pm in its first pool match.

Fiji will play Tonga at 5.58pm and will then play Australia at 9.46pm.
