England's poor performance in the 2010 FIFA World Cup continued this morning when they were held to a nil-all draw by Algeria.

Playing with the likes of Captain Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, John Terry and Wayne Rooney they could not find their rhythm against the Algerian side who surprisingly dominated the first 20 minutes of the game.

England tried hard to score a goal in the second half but again the Algerian defense held their own against a very experienced outfit.

It has left the Fabio Capello coached side on 2 points and they now need to win their last game against Slovenia to stand a chance of qualifying for the second round.

In other results, Serbia caused the third upset of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Soccer last night when they brought a 10 man Germany side crashing back down to earth with a narrow 1-nil win in Port Elizabeth that blows qualification from Group D wide open.

Germany was forced to play more than half an hour a man down, and failed to rally sufficiently to force an equalizer against the Serbia side.

Serbia took the lead with a 35th minute volley, but in truth the result was as much down to the Germans' poor finishing.

The loss means Germany, Serbia and Ghana all stand on three points ahead of the Africans' second group match against the Aussies on Sunday.

In other results, Michael Bradley struck a dramatic late equalizer as the United States came from two goals down to draw with Slovenia in a pulsating Group C encounter in Johannesburg.

US coach Bob Bradley made a double change at the interval and the move paid immediate dividends, Landon Donovon racing clear on the right and firing high into the roof of the net.

Games coming up tonight at 11.30pm, Netherlands will take on Japan, at 2am tomorrow Australia will face Ghana and at 6.30am Denmark up against Cameroon.
