England is not worried about clinching the Gold Coast 7s title this weekend as they just want to get past their pool games.
With just one day remaining before the Gold Coast 7s kicks off, England coach Ben Ryan believes his side will need to put in the extra effort to beat Samoa, Kenya and Spain in the first day.
Ryan said to irb.com that Fiji was consistent last season and has a good chance of retaining the title.
England will have the services of the top two try scorers last season in play maker Matt Turner and speedster Dan Norton while Rob Vickerman will add some firepower in the forwards.
If England finishes first or second in their pool, then they will meet either Fiji, Australia or Tonga in the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, the Digicel Fiji 7s team will meet Scotland in its first pool match at 2:42pm this Saturday, Fiji will play Tonga at 5.58pm and will then face Australia at 9.46pm.
