The Water Department believes most of the residents in Central Eastern, Western and Northern Division are now receiving normal water supply.
However spokesperson, Maika Nagalu said high areas of Delainavesi and parts of Suva City are still without water and engineers will be working on it later today to restore supply.
He said water trucks have been carting water from yesterday in affected areas. He adds power disruption and broken main pipes are causing water cuts in many areas.
For the Western Division, Nagalu said 90% of Lautoka residents are now receiving water supply. In the Northern Division water supply has been restored in most of the areas like Nabouwalu, Savusavu and Labasa.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Electricity Authority said they will only restore power to affected areas once they have done a thorough check of a certain grid that there are no broken power lines in the area.
Chief Executive Hasmukh Patel said this will take some time.
