The Energy Ministry is looking into the submissions filed by the Fiji Electricity Authority, requesting for increase in their tariffs.
Spokesperson, Sainiana Waqanabete said Minister, Timoci Natuva after carefully considering the submissions will seek approval from cabinet whether to approve FEA's request.
FEA, Chief Executive, Hasmukh Patel said the options they are exploring to shoulder the increasing costs to provide electricity include an increase in their tariffs or to apply for another fuel surcharge to be implemented.
FEA is expected to make a decision on the matter in the next few weeks.
