Employers should be responsible enough to check that their FNPF contributions have been paid given that a portion of these is deducted from their salaries.

These are the words of FNPF Chief Executive Aisake Taito as advertisements continue to appear in the dailies reminding employers to pay up or face the consequences.

Taito said they have about 1,358 employers under its contribution debtors and they are given reminders on a monthly basis, of non-payment of contribution.

He adds the Fund continuously tracks and monitors non compliance of payment of contribution through its inspectors by daily visit and the legal process through prosecution.

FNPF warns employers that failure to pay contributions will result in serious penalties that include loading of the business name on data bureau and legal action.
