Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni said if Police feel that it is unable to deal with the country's security situation then it may recommend to the Interim Prime Minister to place the Emergency regulations once again.
Commodore Teleni said the recommendation will only depend on the Police Force's ability to maintain law and order in the country.
Meanwhile, the Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama had earlier stated that the regulations can be placed again if the Police Commissioner makes the recommendation.
