The Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama has revealed that the Emergency Regulation will only come into effect should the need arise.
However, Commodore Bainimarama adds that the call to activate the Emergency Regulations will only come from the Commissioner of Police Commodore Esala Teleni.
Meanwhile, Bainimarama said that Taniela Tabu being taken up to QEB yesterday is normal procedures for people who make inciteful comments to the public.
Tabu was questioned by police yesterday and was charged in relation to making certain comments against the Interim PM late last night.
