The Electoral Commission is planning to introduce Electronic Voter registration in Fiji with assistance of the Samoan government.
Chairman M.K. Sahu Khan told Fijivillage that he had a sucessfull meeting with the Samoan delegation this morning where they were shown how to use this concept.
He said the concept will solve many problems faced by voters who were previously registered manually.
Khan confirmed a final decision will soon be made whether to accept this new concept after having further meetings with the Samoan delegation.
Meanwhile, Interim Foreign Affairs Minister Ratu Epeli Nailatikau told the Melanesian Spearhead Group meet in Vanuatu earlier this week that voter registration is expected to start as early as next month.
