Former Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase has today stressed that elections can be held in Fiji within six months under the current system and we can meet the deadlines set by the Commonwealth and the Pacific Islands Forum.
Qarase said he is concerned that SVT leader Sitiveni Rabuka is saying elections can be held in 2011.
Qarase said with the electoral changes it may take a bit longer.
