The next general elections will be held under a new electoral system.
That’s the revelation by Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama on the live talkback on Village News yesterday afternoon.
Bainimarama said race based voting needs to be eradicated as it promotes racist policies and the racial divide in the country. He reveals that the electoral changes will be looked at by the National Council for Building a Better Fiji.
Bainimarama has also revealed that the military will ensure that the next elected government will follow the People's Charter.
