The position of Supervisor of Elections is still vacant after the Constitutional Officers Commission could not find a suitable candidate for the post.
However, negotiations with the Attorney General's office is still underway to look for candidates from abroad, namely from the Australian Government or European Union.
Chairman of the Constitutional Officers Commission, Rishi Ram said the position should be filled before the end of next month.
Three local candidates were short-listed but the Commission sees none of them fit to take up the position of the Supervisor of Election.
