A 73 year old elderly man of Kadavu who pleaded guilty to the charge of indecently assaulting a six year old girl is expected to be sentenced tomorrow.
The elderly man who opted to represent himself in court was remanded by Magistrate Makereta Mua last week and will be appearing at the Suva Magistrate court tomorrow morning.
According to Police Prosecutor Sargent Leone Lautabui the 73 year old invited the girl to his house in December last year while she was on her way to her aunt's place and indecently assaulted her.
The matter was later reported to the Kadavu Police Station by the girl's relative.
The man earlier asked for forgiveness and asked the court to consider his old age and that he is also deaf.
The case will be recalled tomorrow morning.
