Excitement could be clearly seen on the faces of the elderly of the Father Law Home in Wailekutu, Lami, who got a chance to visit the Fiji Museum this morning.
Sister Elina of Father Law Home said residents of the home were up at 5 this morning, buzzing with excitement, putting on their best dresses and shoes for a day out at the Museum.
The Marketing Officer for the Fiji Museum, Prakashni Sharma said that the visit has been targeted at providing students and the citizens of Fiji with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the history and character of the USA.
She said they invited the senior citizens as they do not get to go out often.
The Picturing America program has been organized by the US Embassy in Fiji and Papua New Guinea and the program will go on for the next five weeks.
