A 63 year old mother remains admitted at the Labasa Hospital after being allegedly assaulted by her daughter-in-law late last week.
Police are yet to question the 23 year old woman of Nabekabu, Labasa, who also sustained some injuries when a fight broke out between the two.
Police said the daughter-in-law is pregnant and she also received some injuries. The mother-in-law was unconscious when she was taken to the hospital by her neighbours.
Police are awaiting the elderly woman to recover before laying any charges against the two.
