A 67-year-old man of Nakasi is admitted in critical condition at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital after he was hit by a car yesterday.
It is alleged the victim suddenly crossed the road and was hit by the vehicle.
According to police, the man was thrown about 10 metres from the accident scene and sustained serious head and facial injuries.
Police have questioned and released the driver.
