There are now eight teams battling for six spots in the Super 15 rugby competition.

The top six teams after the week 13 of competition are Reds, Blues, Stormers, Crusaders, Sharks and Waratahs.

Highlanders and Bulls fill the seventh and eight positions.

With Crusaders losing 33-20 to the Cheetahs, the Blues have breathing space at the top of the New Zealand conference.

Meanwhile, Crusaders return from South Africa today and then have to travel away again to Napier to play Chiefs.

In two interesting matches this Friday, Blues host Stormers at 7.35pm in Auckland and at 9.40pm Crusaders will take on Chiefs.
