We are looking at the implementation of an improved reliable effective tsunami warning system within the next month.
Those were the words of Chairman of the Fiji Tsunami Working Group and Director of Nadi Weather Office Rajendra Prasad who attended a meeting of relevant stakeholders yesterday on earthquakes and its consequences.
Prasad said he briefed the people at the meeting on the tsunami warning system.
Meanwhile, on education action, Fiji Teachers Union General Secretary Agni Deo Singh said in light of a tsunami warning and the closure of schools, common sense should prevail.
