The Parramatta Eels kicked off their 2024 NRL season in emphatic fashion, beating the Bulldogs 26-8 at a sold-out CommBank Stadium last night.

Bryce Cartwright scored a double, while Morgan Harper and Bailey Simonsson scored a try each.

The Eels also suffered a few injuries, with winger Josh Addo-Carr ruled out with a shoulder injury at halftime.

Eels halfback Mitch Moses could also be in doubt for Round 2 after carrying a groin injury for the majority of the match.

In another NRL result last night, the Dragons beat the Titans 28-4.

The Dolphins will face the Cowboys at 5.05pm today.
