Living in the outer islands may have its advantages but education opportunities lack a lot.
These are the sentiments of mother of five Iveta Kama, who lives in Solodamu, Kadavu, but has sent her children to Suva for their education.
Kama said even though they have a very good life in Kadavu and they struggle less compared to those living in city areas, she had to send her two children to Suva for education because she wants her children to fulfill their dreams.
She also said that tertiary institutes should be built in a place such as Kadavu and job opportunities to be available so that youths stay back.
