The Education Ministry will this afternoon release the number of teachers who are on strike.

Education Deputy Secretary, Filipe Jitiko told Village News that they are still trying to get figures from outer islands and other divisions.

Jitiko said that lack of communications between officals from various divisions is causing the delay.

He said that only the Interim Minister for Education will release the figures to media.
