The Ministry of Education was the first agency to be called and recognised for their commitment to Service Excellence out of the other 12 Government agencies.

Chairman of the Public Service Commission, Josefa Seruilagilagi presented 12 awards on Friday night said an agency that is recognised at this level signifies that the agency has committed to a path of continual improvement.

He said through the application of Quality management practices as exemplified by the service assessment criteria each agency is judged.

Other ministries includes the Fiji Prisons and Corrections Service, Ministry of Information, Technology and Computing Services, Labour, Office of the Auditor General, Department of Lands, Immigration, Dept of Mineral Resources and Fiji Police Force.

Meanwhile 15 awards were also given last night for the achievement in Service Excellence.

Chief Guest was the Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama and the Vice-President of China Executive Leadership Academy, Haishan Jiang.
