If you are finding it difficult to send your children to school, report to your nearest Education District Office and give in your names to be considered for assistance.

These are the words of Education Minister Filipe Bole as school starts next Tuesday and in the Ministry's bid to help parents of primary and secondary school students this year.

However, he said there will also be systems in place to ensure no one takes advantage of this exercise and to avoid fraudulent practices.

Bole said the education officers will assess applicants and respond appropriately.

He added this exercise is in line with the new reform of the Ministry which is that all children are to receive at least 12 years of basic education.

To help already, Bole said the Ministry is providing transport assistance, free tuition and free textbooks.
