Following incidents of bullying in schools, the Education Ministry is pursuing to set up school courts in Government Boarding schools.

The Education Ministry said bullying is a big issue in schools and they are currently drafting a policy on this, part of which is the setting up of the school court to allow students to address their grievances in an organised manner.

Meanwhile, the Ministry also confirmed that the six students of a school in Tailevu who allegedly assaulted an 18 year old student two weeks ago, are doing community work for the school.

Their prefect badges have also been taken away.

These students who were charged with assault were released on a $100 bail to appear in court on 8th of next month.
