The Ministry of Education is currently working on putting into place a programme to address the increasing number of teenage pregnancies.

The programme called "No student left-behind programme for schools" will see teachers and students involved to enrich their spiritual lives.

The step is being taken after revelations of the increasing number of teenage pregnancies by the Health Ministry.

Interim Education Minister Netani Sukanaivalu said the revelation is just the tip of the iceberg of the problems youths face today which must be addressed now.

He added that the implementation of religious programmes in schools would be a good solution for the social problems prevalent today.
