The Prime Minister in his visit to Kadavu last week stressed that the development for the province will be geared toward the improvement of education and the health of the people.
Commissioner Eastern Colonel Ifereimi Vasu said most of the requests that came from the people during the Prime Minister's visit were taken on board, however Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama stressed that the people should try and also focus on activities that help generate income.
Vasu siad Bainimarama clearly stated the path that the Government was going to take in terms of development.
Vasu added Bainimarama saw a lot of potential in terms of agriculture and forestry, one being the pine industry and that is why he has sent a team over to look into how the people of Kadavu can fully benefit from their hard work.
