One of the bus drivers who was involved in the tragic bus accident at Edinburgh drive on Wednesday night has been taken into Police custody this afternoon.

Police Director Traffic, SSP Mahesh Mishra has confirmed the driver has been taken in for further questioning and charges are expected to be laid later tonight.

Police have also received the full investigation report from LTA.

Together with this, the Police have the post moterm report of the school teacher who died after sustaining serious injuries in the accident which revealed the teacher died as a result of excessive internal bleeding.

Meanwhile, the 35yr old woman, who is also four months pregnant has been released from hospital while another man is still admitted with serious head injuries.

According to Police, the Dee Cees bus was heading towards Suva when it collided with the City Line Transport Bus, travelling in the opposite direction and which had veered onto the Dee Cees bus lane hitting it head on.
