The Governor of the Reserve Bank of Fiji said the Fiji economy is growing.
Speaking at the Economic Summit, Savenaca Narube said with so many figures flying around about the state of the economy, the Reserve Bank stands by its figures.
However, Narube added the growth rate is too low and something needs to be done to lift it.
Narube added some of the industries contributing to this growth are agriculture, sugar, transport driven by tourism, manufacturing and wholesale also driven by tourism.
The Reserve Bank Governor said when it comes to performance, it’s not about not knowing what to do, as Fiji has people who know what to do, rather it is the lack of implementing policies as it is the execution that matters.
