Economist Dr. Wadan Narsey today lashed out at the speakers and organisers of the Fiji Economy Update 2009 saying those who know the situation on the ground in Fiji should be the ones speaking on the issue.
After his presentation Dr. Narsey questioned why all the speakers have been chosen by the organisers, the Australian National University, and why the speakers are not those who deal with on-the-ground realities on the Fiji economy.
Meanwhile, Dr. Narsey also took the opportunity to question figures released by the Reserve Bank of Fiji on our foreign reserves.
According to Dr. Narsey, the RBF has failed to pinpoint why the foreign reserves increased from around $400 million to $700 million since the devaluation.
