The Asian Development Bank is concerned about the economic growth of some countries in the Pacific region which also includes Fiji.
Speaking to Radio Australia, the Asian Development Bank's Pacific Economist Craig Sugden said economic growth of Fiji and some other Pacific countries are expected to contract this year.
Meanwhile, the Secretariat of the Pacific Community had confirmed that it will continue dealing with Fiji despite their suspension from Commonwealth and Pacific Island Leaders forum.
PACNEWS reports that speaking at the Pacific Island Sports Ministers meeting in Cook Islands, Secretariat of the Pacific Community Director General Dr Jimmie Rodgers said that the countries they deal with, including Fiji will be treated equally adding that Suva will be included in its plans despite the suspension.
Dr Rodgers also said that the Secretariat of the Pacific Community is not a political agency and therefore they still work with countries like Fiji and other countries.
