“We want all the trophies to come to the Eastern Zone”.
Those were the words of the Eastern Zone Secondary School rugby official Mesake Tukana ahead of the Coke Zero Deans quarter finals at the ANZ Stadium this weekend.
Tukana says they have sent a strong message to all the Eastern school Principals to prepare their teams well this year.
Over the last 74 years of the Deans competition, schools from the Eastern Zone have been dominating the competition with Lelean Memorial School winning the trophy 14 times, RKS lifting the trophy 20 times while QVS has the trophy 21 times.
Ratu Navula College will take on John Wesley College at 12.10pm this Saturday while Lelean will take on Cuvu College at 2.50pm.
Nasinu Secondary School will face RKS at 10.50am.
