“We want all trophies to go to the Eastern Zone”.
Those were the words of Eastern Zone Secondary School Rugby President Mesake Tukai with one day to go for the Coke Zero Deans semi-finals.
Tukai had highlighted before the quarter finals that they have been visiting QVS, RKS and Lelean Memorial School informing the principals and coaches about their crucial roles.
RKS is the only school to have all their entire teams qualifying for the semi-final stages, QVS has four teams from the Under 14 to Under 17 grades while Lelean has three teams including the Under 16, 18 and Under 19 grades.
The Eastern Zone schools have been dominating the Deans competition since it started 76 years ago.
RKS will take on Ratu Navula at 2.10pm while Marist will face Lelean at 3.30pm in the Deans Trophy semis this Saturday at Govind Park in Ba.
