"This is the time for us to enter into reconciliation and strengthen our relationships with all communities of faith"
Those are the words of the Methodist Church Communications Secretary Reverend James Bhagwan on Easter Sunday.
Bhagwan says Christians around the country celebrate Resurrection Sunday today, as the day where Jesus Christ rose from the dead after being crucified on a cross for our sins.
Bhagwan says people from all walks of life can join in and be part of the Eater Sunday Resurrection Concert which will be held this afternoon at Sukuna Park with a theme 'Rise with Christ'.
Bhagwan says this is the idea of the nation rising from the ruin of Cyclone Winston and rising out of doubt and issues that we are facing in life.
He says the Fiji Council of Churches and the Ecumenical Centre for Research, Education and Advocacy organized this concert where all people can come and enjoy music and drama for Easter.
The program will kick off with a march from the Flea market in Suva to Sukuna Park at 2.30pm.
