The Easter Basketball Championship got off to a good start at the Vodafone Arena last night.
In the opening round only the Southern teams took part while the Western based teams will have their matches played from Friday.
In yesterday's matches National reps Frank Soqeta, Peni Soko and Aron Ah Yuk lead the Warriors to win their opening match against Macpacers by 31-25.
Lai Paumau and David Whippy were the stars for Shaq as they beat Boston 27-19.
Idaman with the services of the Seruvatu, Matalau and Jang brothers defeated Hands 41-19.
In other games Bryceland beat Raiwaqa Youth side 37-12, Pitbull beat Knights 30-15.
The Easter Basketball championship will continue today with games starting at 6pm at the Vodafone Arena.
