The East Asia Pacific team recorded its first win of the Australian Country Championship after beating Southern Australia by 12 runs yesterday.

The team managed 177 in their innings thanks to the fast bowling by Fiji's Sakaria Lomani claiming two top order wickets to have South Australia on the ropes early in their innings.

This was EAP's first win after five unsuccessful games but despite this the side remains in seventh place on the points table going into their final match of the tournament against the ACT tomorrow.

The EAP team is made up of players from Fiji, Samoa, Japan and neighboring island nations.
