An earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale was this morning recorded southeast of Suva.

The Ministry of Mineral Resources confirmed that the quake happened at around 11.30am today and was located at about 92km east of Southeast of Suva, at a depth of 40.0km below the surface.

The Ministry revealed that no reports of damages have been received so far from the areas close to the earthquake due to its small size as well as the depth at which it occurred.
