The Mineral Resources Department has confirmed that there were earth tremors felt in Vanua Levu last night.
Seismologist, Nilesh Kumar Jit has confirmed that the earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale was located 70 kilometers Northeast of Labasa town.
No cases of damage have been reported.
The earthquake originated at a depth of 25 kilometers below the surface.
