The European Union delegation to Fiji along with the Heads of Missions from the British and French Embassies are now working with the Foreign Affairs Ministry to set the platform for formal talks with the EU on granting new assistance to Fiji.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Head of the EU Delegation to the Pacific Wiepke Van Da Goot said despite the different stance on certain issues taken by the parties, talks are progressing well.
Van Da Goot reiterated that while future financial assistance from the EU remains on hold, they remain committed to the people of Fiji.
Foreign Affairs Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola is yet to comment.
