Non government organisation, ECREA disagrees with the relocation of squatters at this stage saying that this is not the time for moving people from one area to another.
ECREA Field Coordinator, Semiti Qalowasa says relocating people is not the answer to the current squatter problems adding that a lot more needs to be done.
Qalowasa also pleads to the interim government to allow all stakeholders to all be involved in the decisions regarding squatter settlements, as a collective decision would be better for everyone in the long run.
ECREA earlier this week held a three day forum to try to build squatter settlement resident's independence and try to help stop them relying on the government
The Interim Minister for Social Welfare, Adi Laufitu Malani had this morning confirmed to Legend FM News that the Kilikali squatters would have to move by January 15th next year.
