The Social Welfare Ministry is hopeful that all the district officers around the country will be connected to their database at the end of this year.
Permanent Secretary, Govind Sami said with more than 23,000 people under the government's $30 food voucher programme, one of the challenges faced by the ministry is reviewing each file.
Sami said they are now developing their e-gov system to update their database.
Sami said the e-gov system will be up and running by the end of the year.
