Nikola Matawalu and Waqabaca Kotobalavu are expected to bring a set of fresh minds to the Digicel Fiji 7s team ahead of the USA sevens this weekend.
The two are replacing injured duo Semesa Gonevou, who injured his back during training and Apisai Navoro who dislocated his shoulder in Fiji’s plate final victory over South Africa in Wellington.
Coach Iliesa Tanivula said while they will be focusing on improving on their mistakes and the two are expected to bring a fresh approach to their game plan.
Gonevou and Navoro arrive into the country today while the two replacements are expected to leave soon.
The Digicel Fiji 7s team is in Pool C in the USA 7s with Canada, Scotland and Australia and will play Canada in their opening pool game on Sunday at 7.52am.
