State lawyers today used a dummy to try and re-enact how 24 year old Joe Saubulinayau was allegedly kicked in the head before he died outside a nightclub in Suva earlier this year.

As the murder case against Rokotaliai Tupou continued in High Court this morning, a police officer who was at the scene was asked to demonstrate how the accused allegedly kicked the deceased.

The Officer described that the deceased was lying unconscious on the pavement as a result of the brawl outside the nightclub when the accused is alleged to have approached him and kicked him once in the head while people were lifting his head to try and help him.

However during cross examination, Tupou's lawyer Gavin O'Driscoll highlighted that his statement contradicted those of a pervious witness who claimed that the deceased was kicked several times.

Tupou is charged with one count of murder after it was alleged that Saubulinayau died due to injuries sustained during a brawl between three brothers and five bouncers outside Club 66 in Suva.
