Dudley out to learn more from Coke Games
These are the words of Dudley High School Principal, Netani Cavu, with only a week to the Coca Cola Games that kicks off next Friday.
Cavu said they are stressing to their athletes that the world will not end if they cannot win a medal, all that they have to do is try to learn from the games and show a good spirit of sportsmanship.
He said a lot of eyebrows were raised after they won the boys division title at the zone meet, however all he said is that the athletes in Dudley have been developing their skills over the year=s, and their win at the zone came after a lot of "sweat and team work".
Dudley High School were overall winners in the boys division at the Suva Zone 1 meet defeating former champions Nasinu Secondary and they will be sending a total of 22 athletes, 17 boys and 5 girls.
The school PTFA will be giving incentives to their medal winners at the games including free tuition for the whole year for Gold medal winners, silver medal winners get free tuition for Term 1 and Term 2 and bronze medal winners get free tuition in term 3.
The 2010 Coca Cola Games kicks off next Friday at the TFL stadium.
