As the interim government looks to strengthen ties with Dubai, a three member delegation from a renowned International Ports Terminal Operators, Dubai Ports World, is on a two day visit to Fiji.

Public Enterprise Ministry's information officer Waqa Varea said the visit is a follow up on the interim Prime Minister's recent trip to Dubai and they will look at the countries three main investment sectors, tourism, seaports and airports.

The team arrived from Sydney this morning and briefed cabinet and held talks with senior officials concerning long term plans by the Ministries of Lands and Tourism and state owned entities like Airports Fiji Limited and Fiji Ports Cooperation.

The team will tour the ports in Suva and in the north tomorrow and on their return, the team will report back to its head office in Dubai in order to firm upon their position with Fiji.
