A surveyor has been fined $250 and disqualified from driving for six months by the Suva Magistrates court today.

Magistrate Mary Muir fined Apisai Tadulala Tuiloa after he admitted to the charges of dangerous driving, drunk driving and hitting a stationery vehicle on Christmas Eve.

Three other people charged with drunk driving have been released by the Suva Magistrates Court after they spent a night in police custody for being charged with drunk driving, dangerous driving and refusing to take a breathalyzer test.

Setareki Tuinidau Qaliduadua, charged with two counts of dangerous driving and being in breach of the alcohol limit, and Rohit Bhan charged with drunk driving, have been released on $100 bail with their cases to take place next month while Atish Pal, charged with failing to take a breathalyzer test and who has previous convictions, was released on $100 bail as well and told to report to Navua Police station every Saturday.

Meanwhile, four others also appeared in the Nasinu court later this afternoon.
